A REVIEW ON BRICKS AND COMPRESSED STABILIZED EARTH BLOCKS

Chandan Rao and Vipin Kumar Kannaujiya

ABSTRACT- Building with earth is one of those ancient technologies which still remain alive in the place untouched by industrialization. Innovation, however, has evolved in strength of compressed stabilised earth block with more strength gained. Mounted interest in searching sustainable green building material has created compressed earth stabilized brick which attract people for its low carbon emission especially in the production stage. This paper demonstrates the properties and benefit of CSEB compared to.....>> Read More

A SURVEY ON HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE USING MINERAL ADMIXTURES (FLY ASH AND SILICA FUME)

Vipin Kumar Kannaujiya, Rajesh Kumar Bharti & Chandan Rao

ABSTRACT- This study presents the effect of incorporating silica fume and fly ash (SF, FA) on the mechanical and durability properties of high strength concrete for a constant water/binder ratio of 0.3. Silica fume and fly ash mixtures with cement replacement of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% were designed for target strength and slump of 58.25 MPa and 100 ± 25 mm. various percentages of Silica Fume (SF) and Fly Ash (FA) were added at different water/cementitious (w/cm) ratios. Concrete specimens were tested and.....>> Read More

A SURVEY ON SHEAR STRENGTHINGNING OF RC-T BEAM USING FRP

Rajesh Kumar Bharti & Vipin Kumar Kannaujiya

ABSTRACT- This paper deals with the shear strengthening of RC beams using externally bonded _EB_ fiber-reinforced polymers _FRP_. Current code provisions and design guidelines related to shear strengthening of RC beams with FRP are discussed in this paper. The findings of research studies, including recent work, have been collected and analyzed. The parameters that have the greatest influence on the shear behavior of RC members strengthened with EB FRP and the role of these parameters in current design codes are reviewed .....>> Read More

Three-phase Voltage Source PWM Rectifier Control with Discrete 12 Pulse Generator

Rajendra Singh & Avinash Maurya

ABSTRACT- In this paper, we present a simulation study of pulse width modulation rectifier control with discrete 12-pulse generator. It works as an AC / DC rectifier. It gives DC voltage and current. To improve the voltage and current quality, A PID Controller is used. It reduced the harmonics of the input and output quantities. A 12-pulse generator used a yyd transformer that suppresses fifth and seven harmonics of currents. For improving the results low pass filter is used. Power electronics switches as thyristor family, transistor family.....>> Read More

A WASTE: FLY ASH UTILIZATION IN DIFFERENT AREAS

Ramji Porwal & Saurav Dubey

ABSTRACT- Energy requirements for the developing countries in particular are met from coal-based thermal power plants. The disposal of the increasing amounts of solid waste from coal-fired thermal power plants is becoming a serious concern to the environmentalists. Some of the problems associated with Fly ash are large area of land required for disposal and toxicity associated with heavy metal leached to groundwater. Fly ash, being treated as waste is in fact a resource material and has also proven its worth over a period of time. This paper presents different ways of using Fly......>> Read More

Direct AC Control of grid using Series Stacking Arrangement of C-buck and C-boost Cells

Sarvesh Kumar,Punya Pratap Singh & Dr. S. K. Srivastava

ABSTRACT- In this paper a direct ac control of grid to realize STATCOM functionality using series stacking arrangement of C-buck and C-boost cells has been presented. Direct ac control or Inverter-Less STATCOM is implemented by AC chopper in which AC chopper is placed between the AC line and compensating capacitor for desired VAR control. For this we place C-buck and C-boost cell configurations instead of inverter. Dynamic VAR support is necessary to grid for balancing the faults on the system. The conventional sources of VARs which are capacitor bank and generator are too slow to provide desired impact. STATCOMs provide fast response.....>> Read More
